Guava X

Guava X smalls by Wellman Farms may be the best $30 eighth I've ever bought, going back twenty-three years to mids wrapped in a napkin from this tough Sicilian dude in Harvard Square that I knew. Wellman's Farmer's Friend line puts out some good grass for stoners on a budget--previous strains I've tried include a delicious Mango Haze with an indulgent high and a MAC #1 that delivered the true spiritual healing powers of cannabis in general, and a well-balanced hybrid in particular.

Somehow the Guava X delivers all this and more. Open the bag, you catch the smell from a brand-new box of sneakers. I recommend not grinding it real fine but just breaking it up really course--a little goes a long way, burning slow with all the fruity flavor you'd expect--the high can be a little overwhelming, even to an Indo smoker with a heavy tolerance--this strain is really a plant ally, a teacher, a friend--over-indulging is a waste here; just take it as it comes.

The illumination of a tropical sativa, the relaxation of a fruity indica--but without the sharp thrill of intoxication, so much as the undeniable certainty that everything in this life if for the best, if only we cherish in our hearts the immortal light of the undying Sun.

Available now at Blue River Terps for $29 plus tax (just $29 on Tax-Free Tuesdays...) per eighth

THC you later...
