Cake Crasher

 Cake Crasher
by Harbor House Collective

I wasn't sure what to get, but with $40-some in my wallet and it being Tax-free Tuesday, I knew I wanted some premium flower today. Tired of nickel-and-diming it lately...anyway, this seemed like the best bet---haven't had anything in the wedding cake family in a while. It sure has that fresh dank smell you'd expect---much more flavor than I've gotten on opening a bag of Harbor House in a while; recently their Runtz was disappointing and did not represent the strain well. This is different. While I read different reviews, and some people call this strain a sativa, replete with anxiety and/or busybody syndrome (two things I definitely did not need after work today) the genetic logic would seem to support those that claimed it had a more indica/hybrid effect, inducing munchies, couch-lock, and gregariousness. This is what I was hoping for.
The smoke itself was real good. These dessert-flavored strains tend to do it for me, beyond my medicinal or therapeutic needs to just pure pleasure. It hits hard though---the caryophyllene gives a spicy kick to the three-layered indulgence of myrcene, limonene and linalool that lay the foundation of the classic wedding cake terpene profile. I didn't even cash the bowl [I'm getting ready to, an hour-and-a-half later as I type this up.]
I was enjoyably F-d up immediately, enjoying one of the first fine days of Spring as I stood outside hitting my pipe slowly. Nonetheless, I held my own against my son in Street Fighter 6, which is usually the case more with a sativa, giving some credence to that idea...however, when I wasn't doing well I didn't sweat it, just accepted losing (which is a pretty big deal to me) and in any case had a good time, didn't get overly distracted by my internal monologue (a common side-effect of more sativa-leaning strains) and just "let it roll, baby, roll!"
Definitely relaxed. I chased the half-bowl with a bottle of Pilsner Urquell...a great, affordable, moderately-alcoholic Czech lager made with Saaz hops, which are also high in myrcene and caryophyllene (and higher than most strains of hops or cannabis in farnesene) and the pairing was both delicious and deeply calming.
I just feel good, Man, happy, dig? Wish HH would make a concentrate/vape from this.

THC you later...
