    Happy New Year! While I "resolve" to take a break from toking myself, for those of you looking for a dry January who might wanna try substituting legal cannabis for a while, BUT also happen to be broke after December's gone by...Perpetual Harvest got you perpetually high but---I need ta take a moment to clear my head and tell ya...

    In fact I been lookin' for an opportunity to write in general---maybe I've been too high to pick up the pen? Too tired and worn out, head spinning from the Holy Daze busy breaking buds, lighting Christmas trees and Chanukkah candles, family time playing Switch with the kids and feeling like George Costanza freaking out, an adult child of divorced parents needing some heavy Indica pronto! Drinking tea with Santa Claus, spaced-out on Sativa flying with the reindeer...

    I've smoked lots o' stuff lately that I wanted to write about. 

    I've also slept on Perpetual for a minute.

    But for $20 an eighth, you'd be hard put to beat this bud. After taking a month off in November, and then smoking slightly 'fancier' stuff for the Holidays, being broke and not quite ready to stop smoking I did what any stoner'd do and picked up two eighths after I got off work the other night: I went with the Permanent Marker for my Indica which I ripped open as soon as I got home and packed a pipe:        

    Nice firm velvety buds like the tips of a reindeer's antlers.

    I take a toke:

    Harsh chemical exhaust smoothed by cooling eucalyptus chased with Haribo.

    Smokes smooth, consistent; flower doesn't just turn to dust like much cheap weed, including some batches I've gotten from these folks. In general they seem to do a better job with indicas.

    I am baked!

 

    In the morning we try the sativa, Waiting Game. It's got that nice pleasant terpinolene tropical Skittles (the candy not OZK) aroma you love to savor on a summer morning 

        I love the smell of terpinolene in the morning

    only it's now a bleak midwinter, wind blowing too wild my pipe to withstand; I roll a jay.

Yes, Perpetual does a better job with delicious, relaxing, laugh-out-loud soul-pleasing indicas.

Scented Marker pre-roll

Was expecting just another Permanent Marker high-linalool Gelato wannabee that would be overly sedating and even the terpenes overmuch; but this one had a certain something, subtly seductive, not as sweet and fruity, very floral almost like lavender dryer sheets and some nice-ass laundry smell coming outside the basement on a fine spring afternoon, gotta be higher in caryophyllene but I don't have the specs...anyway this is a little less on the indica side, very relaxing but like Runtz or GSC, not full-on sedative...for my 2cents anyway, I was feeling stressed and for 6 bucks Man I'm feelin' pretty good! 😀 4/22/25

 Some of my favorite and most memorable strains I've smoked over the past year: Trop Cherry: Anything from the Tropicanna family is sure to please. Delicious terpenes and a powerful sativa head-high balanced by the tropical flavors providing more of a well-balanced hybrid mood boost. I Can't Quit You Baby (but I gotta put you down for a while)

    I wake up at 6:00 Monday morning and don't even think about smoking. Still high from the night before, I stumble about the livingroom and collapse into the sofa, pick up The Two Towers and wait for the letters to sit still before my groggy eyes, crusted with stoned sleep and dreams I can't recall.      7:00 I absently scrape my little metal tool in the empty container and realize if I can get it all together there's one more dab of rosin left in here!     Now I'm high but I'll soon come down and gotta go to work...and the dispensary doesn't open till 9. SFV OG (Favorite Things)

San Fernando Valley OG Kush by Originals       This review should have to wait to Christmas, as it's going to be full of a few of my favorite things. First of all, yesterday I grabbed a HALF of SFV OG Kush by Originals for UNDER EIGHTY BUCKS at Blue River Terps on Tax-Free Thursday !      San Fernando Valley OG Kush is a fire cut of a classic strain (OG Kush) and said to have more cerebral sativa-like effects than other OGs. It will definitely wake you up as I can attest after baking this morning! But now let me sip my coffee for a while as I contemplate this perfect high...which to me is ultimately a hybrid feeling of balanced mental and physical effects...likewise, a sweet and slightly spicy bouquet, a little fruity but not dessert-like, almost humble and yet satisfying compared to Originals' Gelato, for example.
