Green Soul (Dispensary)

 Unfortunately Blue River hasn't had much in stock lately: at least not many decent quality choices at an OK price...my neighbor was tellin' me the other day about this new place that just opened up in Central Square called Green Soul.

"Yo they serve you deli style---they got all different strains in bulk, in big glass jars and you go, "Can I get a gram o' this?" and "I'll take two grams of this one for bedtime..."

I was intrigued by this idea (in fact I had it myself 10 years ago before MA even went legal but I could smell it in the air, back when I was a grocery manager at a small Co-Op and we sold lots of bulk grains, cereals, legumes, herbs and spices...

But I was not at all prepared for the experience when I walked in this morning. The little waiting-room where you have to show your ID was decorated like a Green Line train car on the MBTA. 70s music was blasting. Then I stepped inside and shit was like a convenience store, all lit up with product everywhere. I wasn't sure how the bulk thing worked but I wanted to grab a gram of the Jack Herer which the budtender with gloved hands scooped onto a scale and popped in a branded and ready-to-seal little professional weed bag. 

Next I wanted a prepackaged 1/8th of K Dynamite by Impressed! cuz I haven't had their flower in a while since Blue River quit selling it and the price was lower than the bulk stuff. But it turned out this guy behind the counter didn't have the already bagged stuff.

"Let me see if somebody can get that for you..."

Then the budtender started speaking into a walkie talkie and I realized there were other counters in the store if you kept going, like there were actually different departments.

My man shows up with the bag and I'm like,

"Stock check on K Dynamite!"

Wow! Man this place is awesome I will definitely be back!

I Can't Quit You Baby (but I gotta put you down for a while)

    I wake up at 6:00 Monday morning and don't even think about smoking. Still high from the night before, I stumble about the livingroom and collapse into the sofa, pick up The Two Towers and wait for the letters to sit still before my groggy eyes, crusted with stoned sleep and dreams I can't recall.      7:00 I absently scrape my little metal tool in the empty container and realize if I can get it all together there's one more dab of rosin left in here!     Now I'm high but I'll soon come down and gotta go to work...and the dispensary doesn't open till 9. SFV OG (Favorite Things)

San Fernando Valley OG Kush by Originals       This review should have to wait to Christmas, as it's going to be full of a few of my favorite things. First of all, yesterday I grabbed a HALF of SFV OG Kush by Originals for UNDER EIGHTY BUCKS at Blue River Terps on Tax-Free Thursday !      San Fernando Valley OG Kush is a fire cut of a classic strain (OG Kush) and said to have more cerebral sativa-like effects than other OGs. It will definitely wake you up as I can attest after baking this morning! But now let me sip my coffee for a while as I contemplate this perfect high...which to me is ultimately a hybrid feeling of balanced mental and physical effects...likewise, a sweet and slightly spicy bouquet, a little fruity but not dessert-like, almost humble and yet satisfying compared to Originals' Gelato, for example.
